Do I Have Bad Breath? How Can I Tell?

It is not always easy to notice your own bad breath. Our sense of smell becomes accustomed to familiar odours, which is why we often do not realise when our breath smells unpleasant.

How can you tell if you have bad breath?

Breathing into your hand and smelling it is not a reliable way to check your breath. Asking someone you trust for an honest opinion can provide a better indication.

If bad breath persists, it is advisable to consult a dentist. A dentist can help identify possible causes and, if necessary, use specialised equipment to assess breath odour.

If you would like to check your breath yourself, you can also use a suitable breath tester.
