Bad breath - a widespread problem
About 20% of people regularly have bad breath, but do not know it because they rarely notice their own odours. In addition, there is morning halitosis, garlic and onion halitosis, halitosis due to protein shakes and dairy products, diets, etc.
There are many rumours about the causes of bad breath. The most common is that bad breath comes from the stomach. But this is very rarely true (in about 4%). In fact, it mainly originates in the mouth and throat. Bacteria used for pre-digestion produce so-called volatile sulphur compounds, which cause the odour. More than 90% of bad breath is produced in the mouth, not in the stomach.
The atemfrisch® brand
We - the Tetrobreath GmbH - have been developing, producing and selling targeted products against bad breath with hdO2 = high-dose oxygen since 2002. Apart from the primary goal - to eliminate bad breath - it is important to ensure that the oral flora and thus the natural digestive tract of our body is preserved. Our products work by means of highly dosed oxygen, which converts the sulphides (sulphur compounds) produced during predigestion into non-smelling sulphate, thus combating bad breath and naturally providing a balanced climate and fresh breath in the mouth.

Do I have bad breath? How do I recognize bad breath?
As sufferers, we very rarely smell our own bad breath, as our brain blocks out the body's own odours. If this were not the case, we would only be able to perceive the odours around us differently or not at all. We also want to dispel a myth: breathing in your hand and then smelling it is no use to recognize bad breath.
If you want to be sure of your fresh breath: dentists can determine the strength of your bad breath with a halitometer. So if you don't want to go to the dentist, order our Tanita Breath Tester - a small device that quickly determines the strength of your breath.
